We don’t know what’s more surprising: that the Sugababes have managed to record another album without losing any more members, that their new single is essentially a souped-up, lyrically-altered cover of Ernie K Doe’s funky ‘Here Come The Girls’, as used in the Boots ad from last Christmas, or that it was co-written by one of the new Pipettes. It doesn’t matter though, because it’s all in the name of a good cause. Proceeds from sales of the single will be contributed to the White Ribbon Alliance, a charity that helps prevent the deaths of women from pregnancy and childbirth in developing countries. ‘Girls’ is out on October 6th, followed by the album on October 20th. Here’s the video.

Footage of Dido at work in the studio and talking about her new album, Safe Trip Home. The one that seems to sound just like the other two? Yeah, that one.
