Pair of special December shows announcedWritten on the roof of the Birmingham Barfly while on their recent tour, Sheffield duo Slow Club’s new single will be a Christmas 7″ and download release with ‘Christmas TV’ on the A-side and “a lovely Christmas cover” on the flip. Only 500 copies of the vinyl will be pressed, and you can get them from your local friendly indie outlet from December 8th say the nice people at Moshi Moshi.
Charles and Rebecca will celebrate the release with a pair of special shows. On December 1st, they headline the lovely Union Chapel with support from Jay Jay Pistolet and Milberg, the solo project of Lisa Milberg of The Concretes (oh, wait, did you know about that? We didn’t!).
“Union Chapel is an amazing venue,” says Charles. “It’s going to be a bit of a different show for us. We are going to be having a few friends with us on stage and playing a bunch of new songs.” The Trinity Church in Leeds will then play host to the duo on December 15th. Moshi Moshi plan to release Slow Club’s debut album in the spring, which they are currently finishing off with Rough Trade signee and producer Baxter Dury.
