The Owl Parliament to convene next monthThe divinely cosy Union Chapel in Islington will play host to a new all-day, all-ages music festival on February 21. Boasting many of the leading lights of the modern folk and antifolk scenes, including Laura Marling, Peggy Sue, Jeffrey Lewis, Herman Düne and Johnny Flynn, The Owl Parliament will take over the intimate venue for what looks like it could be one of the gig highlights of the quarter, before the festival season really kicks off and the rainclouds get a second wind.
Other acts announced include Brighton-based Lauren Doss (aka Mechanical Bride), Emmy The Great cohort Euan Robinson (aka Stars Of Sunday League), hard-to-Google London duo Planet Earth and Oxfordshire septet, We Aeronauts, who have the excellently named Anna Log on vocals/keys. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 9am, priced £24 (Ticketweb).

“Travel Light” is a song by Diane Cluck and Jeffrey Lewis (not Herman Düne).
