‘Tidy Up Your Bedroom’
London-based trio Rivka Gillieron, Sarah Datblygu and Billy Easter look pure New York cool, and there is a certain sarcastic melancholia under their choppy guitar riffs. ‘Tidy Up Your Bedroom’ is taken from their second LP, Frauhaus!, out on Monday (their 21-track 2008 debut, Enterprise Reversal, will be re-released next year). The verse vocals get overshadowed by the guitar – which is angular and syncopated, bordering on discordant – but come into their own in the chorus. If you’re hankering after a mixture of Erase Errata and 1960s surf guitar, Wetdog is just the thing to start the weekend. Play it while jumping around your bedroom, layering on the eyeliner and scowling in the mirror. MP3 after the jump.
