We’ve been looking forward to hearing new stuff from Alessi Laurent-Marke for months now. Last year’s debut album Notes From The Treehouse is still a regular on our office stereo and the new songs we’ve been hearing in various underground caverns have been mighty impressive indeed. She’s been recording them with various people, including Sons Of Noel & Adrian and her regular touring band, and while the official tracklist for this new EP – her first for Bella Union – has yet to be announced, we’re hoping to hear the likes of ‘Shovelling’, ‘Wire’, ‘The Bird Song’ and ‘Mountain’ in their full studio glory.

Alessi is currently on tour with Rachael Dadd as part of an epic Spring jaunt that will later see her supporting the likes of Tallest Man On Earth and Laura Marling. Full list of dates on her Myspace.
