Laurie Anderson remix competition

In keeping with the improvisational manner in which she created her forthcoming album Homeland, out June 21 through Nonesuch, the legendary Laurie Anderson has announced an online remix competition that will allow fans to have a go at reworking new song ‘Only An Expert’. The winner will get their remix included on the iTunes edition of the album upon its release.

The contest, run through online community Indaba Music, is open now and runs until May 13, when a two-week judging period will kick in. Fans and a jury of experts, including Laurie and her husband Lou Reed (who produced Homeland), will review each submission. As well as the grand prize winner and two runners-up picked by the experts, ten “honorable mentions” selected by the public will be listed.
