The second single to be lifted from her Beck Hansen-produced third solo album IRM, ‘Time Of The Assassins’ gets a suitably moody video directed by filmmaker/photographer Todd Cole (Kylie Minogue’s ‘Your Disco Needs You’, No Age’s ‘Aanteni’ promo for fashion house Rodarte).

Shot in Big Sur, California, it features the whispery voiced actress/singer wandering over hills and through forests, using some clever trick photography to lurch and leap in gravity challenging ways.

Less excitingly, she also finds time to stroke some horses and admire a caterpillar on a stick. It’s the little things.

The single is out now, with remixes by Matthew Dear, XXXChange, Outlines and Gentlemen Drivers. Get it over at iTunes. You can also get a five-track live EP recorded with Beck at Sunset Sound studios in Hollywood.

Charlotte plays her first ever UK live show at Shepherds Bush Empire on June 22, and will appear at Latitude Festival in July.
