Laura Veirs
Jazz Café, London [August 16, 2010]

Having made perhaps the finest album in a career of fine albums with the intoxicatingly summery July Flame, released back in January, and then giving birth to baby boy Tennessee in April, Laura Veirs is facing up to the challenge of touring as a new mother.

Dubbed the ‘Experimental Baby Tour’, she’s back in the UK for a short string of dates as part of a two-month European and US tour with her mum and dad on hand to lend some grandparental assistance.

Together with longtime collaborator Karl Blau on bass and guitar, and Alex from tour support act Led To Sea on viola, Laura delivered a typically charming set full of adorable banter. Anika Mottershaw was on hand to take some lovely pics. Laura plays another show at the Jazz Café this evening. Tickets are £15 and on sale right here.

Led To Sea’s second album Into The Darkening Sky has just been released. Take a listen to some songs over on her official website.
