And judging by ‘I Do Not Care For The Winter Sun’, this proves to be the case. A surprise Yuletide offering shared by the duo on their Tumblr yesterday, the song came accompanied by this brief message: ”We recorded this a few days ago in our practice space: it’s a winter/holiday song, it’s a gift to the internet, thank you for the lovely, intense year!”

Showcasing the band at their best, Victoria Legrand delivers a reserved but heartfelt vocal performance over Alex Scally’s simple guitar riff. Emotive and utterly beautiful, it’s the perfect way to end their dream year (no pun intended).
