Since releasing her endearing debut album Murmurs back in 2006, Okinawa native Caroline Lufkin has been a fully signed-up member of Mice Parade. Thankfully now she’s striking back out on her own with a long-awaited second LP, Verdugo Hills, out on Monday via Temporary Residence. On new track ‘Gone’, things seem to be business as usual for Lufkin. Replete with the same soft, crystalline electronica that characterised her debut, flourishes of glockenspiel dance with Lufkin’s saccharine voice as she laments the loss of a lover on this pretty and strangely uplifting song.
