While they’re still in and out of the studio regularly working on the follow-up to their debut album Le Pop (which, we’re told, is almost done), Katzenjammer are also gearing up for a major European tour that runs from March to May. Shows in Glasgow and Dublin have been scheduled for April 29 and May 2 respectively, presumably with more UK dates to be added.
If you don’t want to wait until then, feat not. HMV think Katzenjammer are the Next Big Thing, or at least one of the many next-big-things that are playing events throughout their London-wide festival of the same name this month, and have duly scheduled a headlining show for Anne Marit, Turid, Solveig and Marianne next Wednesday (February 9) at the Barfly.
The original allocation of tickets sold out fast, but a few more have just been released. One lucky winner (and a friend), however, can go for FREE courtesy of the good people at Nettwerk Records, who’ve given us a pair of tickets to award to whoever answers the following question correctly:
Where are Katzenjammer from? Is it:
(a) A bar in Amsterdam
(b) The devil’s back
Email your answer to firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on February 7 and state clearly your full name. The prize does not include travel or accomodation, and there is no cash alternative.
We also have a Janelle Monáe tickets competition running at the moment. Enter before Monday to be in with a chance to see her for free.
