With their recently released Beat & The Pulse EP and their extremely impressive live show getting major thumbs up, all the signs are indicating that Austra’s upcoming debut album is going to be very, very good. ‘Lose It’ is the second single to be shared from Feel It Break, which drops on May 16 via Domino. A bed of lightly tinkling keys and building ’80s synths initially give the song an almost ambient feeling, before being rapidly dispelled by Katie Stelmanis’s soaring, operatic vocals. Her phenomenal voice drips with pathos as she repeatedly wails “Don’t wanna lose yaaaaa” with an integrity guaranteed to have the hairs on the back of your neck standing to attention for quite a while.
