Leading charity MacMillan Cancer Support staged its third annual one-day takeover of nine of East London’s top venues on Saturday, this year bearing the new name of MacMillan’s Big Mix having spread further than its usual Brick Lane stomping ground. The aim? To raise £40,000 to help improve the lives of people living with cancer. The ammunition? Over eighty different acts from the world of music, cabaret, comedy and art, including Tim Burgess, Newton Faulkner and James Yuill.
Wears The Trousers’ main interest was centred around the action at cross-arts centre Rich Mix on Bethnal Green Road, where The Pipettes, CocknBullKid, and Clare Maguire all performed. Martyn Leung was on hand to take photos.
