Lisa Hannigan names new album

July 4, 2011 by Alan Pedder in Blog

Lovable Irish singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan follows up her Mercury Prize-nominated solo debut Sea Sew with new album Passenger, due this autumn.

The ten new songs were recorded at Bryn Derwen Studio in North Wales with Grammy-winning studio men Ryan Freeland (Aimee Mann, Ingrid Michaelson, Ray LaMontagne) on engineering and Joe Henry (Aimee Mann, Ani DiFranco, Over The Rhine) on production.

Filmmaker Myles O’Reilly captured some endearing behind-the-scenes footage in a series of three shorts – check them out below, along with a video of Lisa performing the album title track live in Salt Lake City in November 2009.

In other Lisa news, tickets for an intimate show at London’s Bush Hall on July 19 sold out within two days of being announced.
