Lykke Li provides the latest in the ongoing, and generally quite brilliant, iTunes Sessions series with an eight-song-plus-interview set that drops next Monday (August 29).
As well as revisiting ‘Youth Knows No Pain’ from her 2009 debut album Youth Novels and six songs from this year’s Wounded Rhymes, she’s thrown in her acclaimed cover of The Big Pink’s ‘Velvet’ – first performed for ‘MTV Unplugged’ earlier this year – for good measure. “That song is very hardcore,” she said at the time. “It’s a big, rocky song, but I relate to the lyrics and felt that there was a power ballad somewhere in there. I decided to bring it out.”

In other Lykke news, she recently modelled Fendi’s edgy new Fall 2011 collection in the pages of Interview magazine. See the stunning pictures here.
