You’re probably thinking that no one in their right mind needs to hear another Queen cover, but wait! Hold up! This one’s worth watching. Back in May, Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah Slean returned to the Enwave Theater in Toronto with The Art Of Time Ensemble four years on from their critically acclaimed first live collaboration to perform a whole new suite of covers, including, yes, this stunning take on Freddie Mercury and co.’s ‘The Show Must Go On’.
The original concert eventually led to the 2009 studio set Black Flowers [review], which featured some mighty impressive covers of the likes of Leonard Cohen, Feist and Ron Sexsmith, so here’s hoping we’ll be hearing more from these perfectly matched musicians again in the future.
In other Sarah news, she’s uploaded two new behind-the-scenes videos for her upcoming double album Land & Sea featuring the songs ‘Set It Free’ and ‘Girls Hating Girls’. Watch them here.
