First Aid Kit have revealed that their Mike Mogis-produced second album is done and dusted and is set for release on January 23 via Wichita Recordings – almost exactly two years to the day that their debut album The Big Black & The Blue landed in shops. Titled The Lion’s Roar, the Söderberg sisters claim that the ten-song album takes “First Aid Kit to a new level”, and having heard the brilliant title track a couple of times live, we’re inclined to believe them.
UPDATE: Here’s the album cover!

Tickets go on sale this Friday for a one-off date at London’s Bush Hall on December 6. Grab one here before they’re all gone.
