MP3 | Chalk & Numbers — ‘Summer Nights (& Summer Days)’

This new jam by Brooklyn duo Chalk & Numbers would have been the perfect song to mark the end of a fun summer, but seeing as that season essentially bypassed us this year we suppose now is as good a time as any other for this track to drop. ‘Summer Nights (& Summer Days)’ has a rather nifty bassline, but really it’s all about the endearingly world-weary lyrics delivered with Sable Yong’s signature panache.

If you like what you hear, you can stream the rest of the newly re-released, extended He Knew EP, from which this song is lifted, on Bandcamp. Y’know, once you’ve finished deciding whether you’re relieved or disappointed that this isn’t a ‘Grease’ soundtrack cover.
