Summer Camp share more details about their debut album

September 29, 2011 by Alan Pedder in Blog

There’s rather more to Summer Camp’s debut album Welcome To Condale than we first thought, as Elizabeth Sankey and Jeremy Warmsley have now revealed that the dozen-song set tells the interwoven tales of four residents of a fictional town named Condale and the people who trip in and out of their lives. The main characters are Brian Krakow (who shares a name but not a social outlook with the character from ‘My So-Called Life’), a smalltown superstar; Cathy, a girl who has a crush on him; jaded Hollywood starlet Bebe West; and her husband, former Condale mayor Louis Sley.

Their full track-by-track rundown is meant for people who pledged on the album via PledgeMusic, so we can’t really say more than that, but it certainly gives songs like ‘I Want You’ and ‘Better Off Without You’ an interesting new spin. If you want to read the full thing, you’ve got one more month to pledge to the project before the campaign closes.
