Love her or loathe her, there’s little denying that Lana Del Rey is the woman of the moment. In the six short days we were away at Iceland Airwaves (more on that soon), the internet was awash with a deluge of Del Rey so here’s a brief round-up of what’s surfaced. First up, and perhaps most key to her continued success, is this clip of the woman born Lizzy Grant performing her breakthrough hit ‘Video Games’ on ‘Later… With Jools Holland’ accompanied by a string quartet, which has amassed an impressive 187,000+ hits in less than a week.
Next we have two videos of Del Rey performing ‘Live at the Premises’, complete with faux-crackling visuals. These renditions of ‘Video Games’ and its B-side ‘Blue Jeans’ are actually quite stunning, with Del Rey accompanied by just a piano in the former and electric guitar in the latter.
Finally, to complete the video portion of this post, witness this clip of Del Rey duetting with video director slash musician Woodkid. Watch the pair’s version of – you guessed it – ‘Video Games’, performed in New York over the weekend.
Moving on, it seems like the whole world and her mother has remixed ‘Video Games’ by now. Here are the picks of the bunch from indie darlings Joy Orbison, Balam Acab and Jamie Woon:

Del Rey recently revealed via Twitter that she has worked on a song with Damon Albarn, soul artist Bobby Womack and XL Recordings owner Richard Russell. And you might not have to wait too long to hear it as Amazon has a listing for an as-yet-untitled album due for a January 23 release. The sultry singer will make her live UK debut next month, details of which can be found here.
