We already knew that Stephen Fry was somehow involved in the recording of Kate Bush’s new album 50 Words For Snow, but in a new press release from Anti- Records, who announced last night that they have signed Kate to their roster (at least in the US), it was revealed that Elton John would also make a cameo appearance on the record.
A fan of Elton’s since childhood, Kate has previously recorded covers of his ‘Rocket Man‘ and ‘Candle In The Wind’, and once confessed that she longed to be able to play the piano as well as he does.
Welsh blues musician Andy Fairweather Low and chorister Stefan Roberts are also involved with the album, with Roberts tweeting that he sings a solo on one of the album’s seven songs.
50 Words For Snow is out November 21. The first single, ‘Wild Man’ is release digitally at midnight on October 11. See the single cover here.
