[Warp; January 23]
There was an eight-year gap between Leila Arab’s last two albums, but thankfully we’ve only had to wait a mere three and a bit for this eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2008′s rather stunning Blood, Looms & Blooms [review]. Last we heard of Leila she was hauled into a Reykjavík studio for some last-minute adjustments to Björk’s Biophilia (and what an incredible job she did!), but U&I finds her collaborating on a number of tracks with Mt. Sims of The Knife’s Darwin opera Tomorrow, In A Year fame. You can hear his contribution to lead single ‘(Disappointed Cloud) Anyway’ below, and grab a free MP3 of the song in exchange for your email address here.
‘(Disappointed Cloud) Anyway’ will be released on limited edition 12″ vinyl on December 12, complete with an instrumental version and two non-album B-sides, ‘Not Havin’ That’ and ‘Inci’.
