STREAM | tUnE-yArDs — ‘Party Can’ (studio version)

December 17, 2011 by Odhran ODonoghue in Blog

If you’ve had the privilege of seeing the incredible tUnE-yArDs live over the past year or so, chances are that you’ve probably screamed along in joy to ‘Party Can’ – aka the track in which Merrill bellows “Do you wanna live!?”

Well, good news, the live favourite has finally been released in studio form as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of W H O K I L L. Head over to Abeano to stream the track, which is a lot more rough and ready than the more polished numbers we’ve come to expect from Garbus of late.

In other tUnE-yArDs news, Merrill and co. recently stopped by NPR to perform one of their trademark Tiny Desk concerts. Stream the awesome clip below. Oh, and if you haven’t already, buy your tickets now for the band’s brief tour of the UK and Ireland in February, which includes their biggest headline show to date on London soil at Shepherd’s Bush Empire. And if remixes are your thing, check out Max Tundra’s typically frenetic reworking of BiRd-BrAiNs-era cut ‘Real Live Flesh’ below.
