new EP of 1970s disco covers on the way from peaches

Peaches has recorded a four-track EP featuring covers of tracks released through the Hollywood-based Casablanca Records & Filmworks label in the 1970s. Joining her on the Casablanca Reworks EP are the Gomma All Stars, aka Gomma Records artists Moullinex, Telonius, Munk and The Phenomenal Handclap Band, with originals by Michael Sembello (‘Maniac’, from the movie ‘Flashdance’), Harold Faltermeyer (‘Our Love’, as made famous by Donna Summer), Giorgio Moroder (‘You Can’t Run From My Love’, as made famous by Stephanie Mills) and the Skatt Brothers (‘Walk The Night’).

The EP is released in Germany on January 13, with a UK release expected soon. Peep the Kope/Figgins-directed video for ‘Maniac’ below.
