VIDEO | EMA — ‘Take One Two’

February 15, 2012 by Charlotte Richardson Andrews in Blog

EMA
‘Take One Two’

With the rise of cyber harassment and the It Gets Better campaign, there’s no denying that bullying is a growing issue. EMA’s Erica M Anderson, who’s own outsider Midwest upbringing informed her 2011 debut Past Life Martyred Saints, is using her clout to address the problem in new single ‘Take One Two’, released this week aid of anti-bullying charity The Jamie Isaacs Foundation. Get it over on iTunes.

The accompanying video features a young Erika and friends (“a small group of freaks and misfits”) in a South Dakota trailer park in the mid-’90s. “This one’s for all the weirdoes out there: cherish your friends, fuck the haters and let your freak flag fly,” says Anderson in a blog post.
