MP3 | Laura Welsh – ‘Ghosts’ + ’45′

Laura Welsh
‘Ghosts’ / ’45′

It seems that Laura Welsh is content on rocking her own name these days, but previous outings saw the Staffordshire-born singer make music under the names of Hello Laura and Laura & The Tears. Now situated in London, Welsh is busying herself with writing her debut album with the help of Guy Chambers (Kylie Minogue, Katie Melua). The rather chilling ‘Ghosts’ was her first official offering: a piano-driven pop ballad in which her big, melancholy, gospel soul-inspired vocals run the show. That was swiftly followed by the more straightforward late-night lament ’45′, which seems destined to earn her a million comparisons with a certain Adele. And not unfavourable ones at that. Download both songs for free below.
