Liz Phair returns to the melodic rock sweet spot

Long-running Liz Phair fansite Mesmerizing has shared a previously unreleased song, ‘Avalanche (Stereo Romance)’, described by the lady herself as “very personal”. Apparently it featured on the soundtrack to a recent documentary about California. Madi Diaz guests on backing vocals. A much more conventional listen than 2010′s Funstyle, it’s a sweet melodic rock treat. Dig in! Oh, and speaking of Funstyle, Liz recently shot a video for that album’s ‘And He Slayed Her’, coming soon to a Wears The Trousers near you.
