VIDEO | Black Bananas — ‘My House’

April 12, 2012 by Charlotte Richardson Andrews in Blog

Black Bananas
‘My House’

Black Bananas’ Rory O’Rear-directed video does a pretty good job of collecting disparate cultural communities and merging them all into one bright, dazzling affair, taking in scenes from a Native American street festival, sign-throwing car-cruising gangster cliques, and long-haired punk kids messing around on railway tracks and sidewalks. Huge chords and guitar solos abound, and Jennifer Herrema’s tough rock chic vocals smear everything with all the grit and snarl you’d expect from a veteran.

The song is lifted from the album Rad Times Xpress IV, released in January via Drag City.
