This track from Gillian Chadwick’s Ex Reverie has the honour of getting the band’s first official music video. Filmed in New England back in February and co-directed by Courtney Brooke and Alec K Redfearn (Marissa Nadler, Orion Rigel Dommisse), it’s described by Gillian as “a glammy witchy rock and roll fantasy, very true to form”.
‘Black Butterfly’ is lifted from the Praxis EP, released last June and available on Bandcamp on a name-your-own-price basis or $10 with an exclusive black-light poster drawn by artist Jason Killinger and produced with some silk-screening assistance by Gillian and friends.
As for new music, well, you can expect a bunch of that in 2012. There’s a new single all wrapped up called ‘Stay For A While’ – “the shortest and sweetest [song] I’ve written in years,” says Gillian, “I’m pretty psyched about how it turned out!” – and another, more typically epic track called ‘The Land Without A King’. There may even be another video from Praxis, too. Stay tuned.
